This usually happens to all CD/DVD/BD players with age when the tray ejection motor stretches its belt and it loses traction. Then you hear the motor going but tray does not eject.
If a car CD player is anything like the household players, there should be a forced ejection hole behind the besel. Do you have Quest FSM? There should be something there about removal of a stuck CD. I do not have access to an FSM from where I am, so you might be better off downloading your own copy and looking that up.
