well, not sure if this is the same problem, but before I buy an ECM (haven’t checked or removed it), I’d really appreciate any feedback:
2004 Quest, 90K miles. Whirring sound when engine is off, and continues to run continuously when engine on. Checked all fuses, none broken. Sounds stops only when Rad 2 40amp fuse (cluster of 3 in same fuse, next to battery) is removed. Fan is not rotating when sound is on. Car not overheating, but haven’t driven it more than 5 miles at a time since found this out yesterday, and we live in Alaska, so temps are 35-40 these days.
temp sensor somewhere? or ECM? or relay somewhere? shorted wire to fan inside ECM?
I can run continuities, but don’t know where to start, or what numbers I should be getting.
