I have 1999 mercury villager estate
Since 2 years, it sometimes turns on and off on the left front brakes but 2 days ago it got stuck
today i already replaced new caliper still same problem stuck
any clue what cause problem?
And also there is Nothing ABS or Brake Light on it has 117k miles.
since theres no abs, and you changed the caliper, which i would have sugested was the problem, it leads me to believe that you have a clog in the brake line.
Going from the source, the master cylinder, to the problem the left caliper, seeing its only the left caliper, the clog is probly somewere in the t fitting that seperated to 2 front brake lines to the left caliper. I would suggest totallty disconecting your brake line from the caliper and totally flusshing out the line.
Could be rust in the lines or something and may even need replaced, but other than that i see no other reason why only ONE caliper would be stuck.
