I have a 2005 Quest SE with 47K miles. Sometimes when I accelerate I hear a clunking noise from my right front wheel area. Could this be a problem with my front axle? I heard that there was a TSB about the u-joint bolts not being tight enough, could this have something to do with it? Any advice would be appreciated.
It could be a number of things. My first guess is a bad control arm bushing. But you should get it checked out. If it is the control arm bushing, the entire control arm must be replaced (thanks Nissan!). The bushing is not serviceable.
