Does anyone know how to remove the second row seats in the 2006 Quest? While we were away, somehow the side door was opened after our housesitter came to visit…don’t know how, don’t know when. Anyway, it rained, no…poured. The area under the seat filled with water and we couldn’t get it to drain out. This was during the Thanksgiving holiday and Nissan was not around to help. It is now stinking like a swamp in there even though I’ve put plenty of buckets of absorbing crystals in there.
Need to figure out how to remove the seat (2nd row, behind passenger)so we can get to that area and properly clean it.
Thanks for any help.
According to my Nissan Quest “Factory Manual” CD:
Removal and Installation
1. Lift handle and tilt seat forward,
2. Remove the rear anchor bolt.
3. Tilt seat backward.
4. Remove seat base trim cover.
5. Remove front anchor nuts.
6. Remove seat striker covers and seat strikers.
Caveat: Have not tried the above procedure myself but if you do, please post your experience back. Also, for your purposes, the last step may not be necessary. As a matter of fact, for your purposes of drying the floor, you may only have to tilt the 2nd row seats forward.
