Trying to help a friend who owns a 96 Quest. Her PS pump was squealing very loud, fluid full so removed belts and found the PS pump had a bad bearing.
Swapped out pumps, drained lines, drained rack and filled with fresh ATF Type F Automatic Tranny fluid. She drove the car about a month and now the pump is making the same noise and it lost some fluid.
Is there a common are that these will leak slightly as I cant seem to find a leak but it did leave a little on the ground.
Also is there a better way to flush the system to be sure all the old junk is out?
Guess I will be swapping the PS pump again since its under warranty but dont want this to be monthly thing.
Any help would be great.
