2005 Quest 72K. Just returned from the dealrship. They are giving me a new catalyst under emission warranty (code P0420) which is great. But they noticed a couple of other things:

    1. Both axle seals leaking
    2. Oil cooler O-ring leaking

They want $395 per each seal and $125 for o-ring.

Is it possible to DIY these 2 things? What is involved?
    Thank you for any advice!

The oil cooler o-ring is less than $5 from Nissan dealer and isn’t much more difficult than changing the oil other than you will need to pinch off or remove and plug the coolant line so it doesn’t all drain out when you remove the cooler. It is a really poor design because if someone puts your oil filter on too tightly then it can loosen the cooler next time you take the filter off and it will make that gasket leak. As for axle seals, depends on which are leaking. If at the tranny end it is a fair amount of work to remove the wheels, knuckles, and axles to replace the seals.
