I have a 2006 Nissan Quest. It is currently rising terrible, when you hit a pothole it feels like the van is going to fall apart. Dealer said I need the Control arm assembly on both sides replaced.

I am trying to replace myself, I have access to a lift.

Does anyone know which part is the correct part? There are several options when I go to purchase. The pricing I’m finding is between $70 – $130 each/per side, much much lower than quoted by dealer.

    Any advice before I purchase?

    Thanks

If it wanders from side to side when you hit a pothole then you need new struts, not control arms. Blown struts also cause less controlled bouncing. Is that what its doing? I’d hate for you to heed the dealer’s suggestion and fix the wrong thing
