First engine went out at 92K due to jump timing issue. Transmission went out at 128K NOW on second engine white smoke bellows out the next day after mass air flow sensor change at dealership. They claim sludge even with regular maintanance. Got second opinion and mechanics say the PCV valve was original to the car (which is now at 145K) and was clogged and damaged. Should the dealer have not replaced this when the new engine was put in? Or at least check it before saying “sludge…we can’t do anything for you”.
Anyway to check if the valve was the original?
thanks for any input.
