Van starts runs for about 5 seconds then dies

Hello,
I just found this forum and don't know how active it is, but here is my problem. My 99 quest will start fine, run for about 5 sec. then dies. It dies regardless of throttle position. If I leave it at idle, it takes longer to die and sputters some then dies. The computer tells me I have a knock sensor malfunction. But I think this is a symptom not a cause. Any help would be appreciated.

Possibly could be the fuel pressure regulator. My 2001 Villager did this only it would run for only a few seconds then die unless I kept my foot on the gas. About $200 for one at the dealer, I found one online at Auto Parts Warehouse.com for about half the price.
