Moonroof question

1999 - 2002 Nissan Quest

My wife and I just yesterday bought a 1999 Villager, which I'm sure you are all aware is a twin sister to the Quest. So far, we are thrilled with this van. It has 100,000 miles and still looks and drives as straight and solid as brand new.

Anyhow, I got to messing around with the power moonroof - it will tilt up at the back if the button is pressed one way, or will retract into the headliner if pressed the other way. My problem is that I cannot seem to get it to seal tightly between the two modes. It's real tricky tapping that button to get it to stop without it starting to tilt up or retract. I'm getting a fair amount of wind noise due to this as well. I'm also concerned about leakage during rain or carwash. I read through the owner's manual and there's nothing there to explain how to make it stop right at the fully closed position. Is there a secret trick to this that I'm missing?

Thanks!

1999 Nissan Quest GXE

We, recently, purchased a used 1999 Quest. I would never have owned a van but needed one for my photography business. I love it!
Yesterday, out of the blue, the signal lights stopped working while going down the road. I figured. . bulb. . fuse. As luck would have it, I was right next to O'Reilly Auto Parts. A guy looked at it and I was confused as to his reply so I won't go there. Later, I decided to take it to a different Auto Parts. When I got in the van, the signals were working, again, just like they should. What on earth is this? Has anyone had it happen before?
Also, I have a TV/VCR. . what are the odds that could be swapped out for a DVD player?
I'm so glad I found this web site.

mt 2001 has done that too.

mt 2001 has done that too. It seems like it is just a fluke as I could not reproduce it. I just re-insert the key, like a re-boot. It would be easy to put in a dvd. Any shop could do it quick.

Turn Signals

We were fearing the worst. . electrical problems or maybe just a loose wire or a short. Maybe it won't do it, again. Guess reboot works on vans, too.
I guess when we are ready to do the DVD, we'll go to Car Toys or something.
