just bought an 05 quest sl and getting the bose audio repaired. a local shop asked me to look for an audio control (not the amp or the stereo) but having difficulty identifying the correct part. the problem btw is very weak sound (on max to hear little).

while im searching for the part, id like to hear from others with similar situation or familiar with the bose cd/dvd system on the quest.

also, im looking for owners who went the aftermarket way with minimal bypass or updating everything altogether. if the cost is not much more vs repairing the existing system, i might consider this option. thanks in advanced.
